Measuring Fluorophores with our PEBBLE Spectrometer

At the beginning of this year, our application specialist Rasmus Sterobo has been busy building a fluorescence front end demo for our ultra compact Pebble spectrometer. We couldn’t be happier with how things have progressed. He started out using one of our office plants as a test object and he managed to measure fluorescence from the chlorophyll in the leaves.

Recently he extended his tests by measuring fluid fluorophores through the collaboration of the Department of Chemistry of Copenhagen University. The measurement was carried out on a variety of fluid fluorophores such as fluorescein, rhodamine, ADOTA, Cresyl Violet and DMQA with the assistance of Dr. Thomas Just Sørensen.  The results were amazing and it was exciting for us to see our PEBBLE front end demo getting fully completed.

We are bringing our PEBBLE front end demo to Pittcon in Chicago, so be sure to stop by at our booth #1735 from March 03-05 for a live demonstration.
