DISB Developer’s Kit

DISB Developer’s Kit

The Developer’s Kit allows you to easily demonstrate the performance of the spectrometer without the need for complex hardware integration or time-consuming programming.

Package content

The DISB Developer’s Kit contains the following items:

  • Spectrometer with DISB control electronics

  • Evaluation board with USB 2.0 interface

  • USB 2.0 cable

  • Compatible power supply

  • Cable for external triggering, auxiliary signal control and GPIO channels

  • Thermistor for external temperature measurements

  • Download link for software and manuals

The DISB Developer’s Kit is illustrated with the Freedom UV-VIS spectrometer and is suitable for multiple Ibsen spectrometers.

Hardware  and peripherals

The DISB-USB electronics converts the SPI output from the DISB spectrometer electronics to USB, allowing spectrometer control and signal acquisition via a PC.
The included GPIO trig cable allows for easy hardware triggering, auxiliary signal access and controllable input-output pins. The thermistor enables frequent temperature readings, which can be used for dark signal referencing.

The DISB-USB electronics can be mounted on the spectrometer together with the DISB electronics or included on the side.

Evaluation software

When purchasing your spectrometer with the DISB Developer’s Kit, a Windows-based Evaluation Software is included. The software enables the user to acquire spectra and control spectrometer settings via a simple graphical user-interface. The acquired data can be saved in text files or directly exported to Excel.

Software development kit

A Windows-based software development kit (SDK) for C++. C#, LabVIEW (x86), MATLAB and Python is also included, allowing users to integrate their spectrometer into a lab-based system while providing dynamic control of spectrometer settings and data acquisition.
