Press Release – Farum, July 01, 2024
The EAGLE C-OCT-S spectrometer is the smallest commercially available OCT spectrometer on the market, with a compact footprint of only 61 x 110 x 33 mm. It maintains the same high performance as the EAGLE OCT-S spectrometer, but in a scaled and optimized form-factor. With a wavelength range of 60 nm covering the linear detector array, the EAGLE C-OCT-S allows for depth measurements of up to 3 mm (in air) while maintaining excellent roll-off performance of <14 dB even at its maximum measurement depth.
Designed as an industrial-grade spectrometer with an OEM-focused data interface, the EAGLE-OCT-S is based on the Hamamatsu C16821 camera module, offering greater flexibility in selecting a data capture system and eliminating the need for costly frame grabber capture cards. Complying with the MIPI CSI-2 D-PHY standard, the EAGLE C-OCT-S enables seamless integration and the use of single-compute boards like Raspberry Pi, Arduino Spartan, Nvidia Jetson, and more.
The compact size of the EAGLE C-OCT-S creates opportunities for portable OCT instruments and entering new markets. This cost-efficient OCT spectrometer can also increase profit margins for OCT instrument manufacturers relative to Swept Source solutions and other OCT spectrometers, making it accessible to markets such as home use, pharmacies, and optometrists.
Plug-and-play with the EAGLE C-OCT-S Developer’s Kit
Enhance your experience with the hassle-free setup process of the EAGLE C-OCT-S developer’s kit. This developer’s kit allows for easy demonstration of the spectrometer’s performance without the need for hardware interfacing and tedious programming.
We provide the EAGLE C-OCT-S Developer’s Kit with the following items for a convenient plug-and-play experience:
- EAGLE C-OCT-S OEM spectrometer
- Evaluation board with USB3 interface
- USB3 cable
- Cable for external triggering
- Quick guide with a download link for software and manuals
The compact EAGLE C-OCT-S spectrometer is based on the same proven diffraction grating technology used in all other Ibsen spectrometers. This ensures that spectrometers can be manufactured in high quantities with very small unit-to-unit performance variation and strong environmental stability, which results in low implementation costs and eliminates the need for field calibration and re-calibration of the spectrometers.
