FREEDOM at Antarctica

2016-04-20

Dear Reader, You get freedom in your design, when you choose our FREEDOM spectrometer. FREEDOM provides many different configurations and detector options and it allows the flexibility to use your own electronics or to go with our plug-and-play electronics. In addition, it is so small that it fits almost any size constraints. In this newsletter, we are highlighting our popular FREEDOM HR-VIS-NIR mini Raman spectrometer! And, we believe your future Raman projects could benefit from an Ibsen FREEDOM HR-VIS-NIR spectrometer. This FREEDOM actually went to Lake Untersee, Antarctica, with University of Innsbruck, where Klemens Weisleitner captured this exciting image of the spectrometer in action. Click here and

EAGLE Raman-S – Ibsen launches 800–1100 nm high throughput spectrometer for Raman spectroscopy

2016-01-14

For immediate release Press Release, Farum, January 14, 2015 Ibsen Photonics (www.ibsen.com), the global leader in fused silica transmission gratings and industrial grade spectrometer modules, today announced the new EAGLE Raman-S spectrometer platform for OEM supply to manufacturers of analytical instruments. The EAGLE platform consists of high throughput, robust and high resolution spectrometers, suited for OEM integration into weak intensity Raman solutions at 785 or 830 nm excitation. It combines high resolution with high sensitivity and flexibility in choice of detector system. Due to its robustness and thermally stable operation, the EAGLE Raman-S spectrometer is particularly well suited for industrial

To cool or not to cool?

2015-11-30

When you are considering to buy a new spectrometer, you may have to decide whether you need one with a cooled detector or not. A cooled detector can provide low noise but is also bulky and expensive. We have put together a technical note with some practical guidelines on when to cool and when not to cool. One of the applications where cooling is often required is in Raman spectroscopy. In this newsletter, we are highlighting our high throughput, compact EAGLE SW-NIR spectrometer which is well suited for Raman and comes both with a cooled and a non-cooled detector.

Meet our Deep UV Spectrometer

2015-09-23

Ibsen offers a variant of the FREEDOM family of compact and high resolution spectrometers, the HR-DUV FHW-380, to complement the current HR-UV, HR-VIS, and HR-VIS-NIR. This deep UV spectrometer covers a wavelength range of 178 - 409 nm and a resolution of 0.3 nm. This feature set makes the HR-DUV ideal for integration into Industrial Laser Induced Breakdown spectroscopy instruments.
FREEDOM HR-DUV
FREEDOM HR-DUV uses an innovative transmission grating, developed and manufactured by Ibsen Photonics. In contrast to typical blazed gratings, this new grating provides high and nearly constant diffraction efficiency over the entire 178 – 409 nm range for both

FREEDOM HR-DUV spectrometer – The ultra-compact solution for deep UV Spectroscopy

2015-09-01

For immediate release Press Release, Farum, September 1, 2015 Ibsen Photonics (www.ibsenphotonics.com), the global leader in fused silica transmission gratings and industrial grade spectrometer modules, today announced the new FREEDOM HR-DUV spectrometer platform for integrators of compact analytical and process control instruments. FREEDOM HR-DUV uses a new innovative transmission grating, developed and manufactured by Ibsen Photonics. In contrast to typical blazed gratings, this new grating provides high and nearly constant diffraction efficiency over the entire 178 – 409 nm range for both polarizations. Furthermore, the high resolution, small size, and environmental robustness make the HR-DUV spectrometer ideal for applications like handheld
