Ibsen Photonics A/S is looking for engineers to develop new products and improve our manufacturing processes and equipment for production of transmission gratings.

Ibsen is a global leader in design and manufacture of transmission gratings and spectrometers. We have 5-doubled our turnover since 2014, reaching sales of 141 MDKK in 2021, and employing close to 90 people at our R&D and manufacturing facility in Farum, close to Copenhagen. We work closely with our customers to create value adding solutions, and work continuously to make our business as competitive and sustainable as possible.

Ibsen is ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified, and will be certified according to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in 2022.

Join a competent R&D team

As member of our grating R&D team, you will be responsible for continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes, and coordinating customer driven development projects. You will work with prototypes, pilot series, and volume production.

You can look forward to:

  • Developing existing and new manufacturing processes to offer new products to our customers
  • Coordinating development of new products from the early design phase to the final release for production
  • Developing and specifying measurement methods and processing equipment for production
  • Qualifying, validating, and documenting new products and processes.

The team is looking for a professional and a good colleague

We are looking for this set of skills:

  • Engineer with a background in optics, nanotechnology or process industry
  • Insight and understanding of innovation, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance
  • Solution oriented and capable of managing complex projects with a large range of issues
  • Selfdriven and motivated
  • A structured and fact based approach – project management experience is a plus
  • You speak and write English, and you are willing to learn Danish, if you don’t master it already.
