Envision yourself boosting sales of leading-edge spectrometers in a successful company with a large growth potential
Are you passionate about B2B marketing of leading-edge technology?
Are you driven by identifying and developing effective marketing channels to generate new leads?
…and are you looking for an opportunity to take an already successful business to new heights?
Then we may have a position for you.
We are looking for a Global Marketing Manager to head up our marketing and customer service team, and significantly strengthen our marketing efforts to help identify sales opportunities and grow our sales of high quality, industrial-grade spectrometers to major global scientific, medical, industrial, and pharmaceutical instrument manufacturers, primarily located in North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific.
You’ll be part of an organisation that has more than six-doubled its sales since 2014 to more than 170 MDKK in 2022, and employs 90 people at our R&D and manufacturing facility close to Copenhagen, Denmark. We have ambitious plans to grow the business further, and need your help!
The role of Global Marketing Manager
Reporting to the VP of Sales at Ibsen, you will be responsible for the existing marketing team and any future expansion. You will be measured on your ability to market Ibsen effectively to existing and new customer segments, in order to uncover new sales opportunities and grow our global revenue.
The full sales cycle typically extends over a period of 1-5 years, beginning with the design of a customised spectrometer in the early phase of product development, and extending through product testing and regulatory approval to product launch and volume production. Your focus will be on marketing Ibsen to key personas in targeted customer segments, creating thought leadership and top-of-mind, which can be converted into sales leads that over time develop into recurring high volume revenue.
As Global Marketing Manager you and your team will be responsible for
- Identifying and deploying effective marketing strategies to targeted customer segments
- Strengthening our marketing on social and printed media platforms as well as for exhibitions
- Involving and supporting company management in PR activities
- Understanding and acting on customer behaviour.
Working from our HQ in Farum, Denmark, you will be supporting an expanding sales team that by end 2023 will count a total of 5 sales representatives and a number of distributors.
Your background and skills
The ideal candidate has a strong passion and talent for marketing, in particular on digital platforms, complemented by a desire to promote sales of leading-edge technological products that make a difference for our customers.
You get your energy from creating winning marketing platforms and campaigns, reaching potential decision makers and influencers in our targeted customer segments, and contributing to the continued double-digit growth of the company.
Also, you should be able to tick the boxes below:
- Possess a proactive and energetic personality with a strong attention to quality and detail
- Be creative around how we market and brand our company to our customers
- Be patient and have perseverance, since our sales cycles are long, and it takes time to win new customers
We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English. Additional languages are an advantage, while Danish is not a prerequisite.
Why should you choose us?
Working within sales and marketing, one normally finds inspiration in the growth journey. Here our numbers need no further comments, although they cannot stand alone.
A key parameter for why the Ibsen team enjoys going to work every day, has to do with our culture. You will be part of a well-run and flat organisation where decision-making and execution is key. We have a good and friendly work environment and our employees take pride in what they do. Customer focus permeates our organisation, making it even more exciting to join the sales and marketing team.
Last but not least, the importance of Marketing is appreciated and fully backed by both the leadership team and the board.
If you believe you are the right candidate for the position, please send your CV and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. We are looking to recruit as soon as possible but will keep the position open until we have found the right candidate.
If you have questions to the position please call Morten Harmsen, VP of Sales, on +45 4434 7036.
We look forward to hearing from you.
